I was planning on washing dishes, eating breakfast and putting clothes away right now…but seeing as how my adorable kitty is curled up in my lap, sleeping and quite content….well I guess I’ll just add another post about Japan (:

I went to Nasu with my host parents and sister in October. We went to an adorable, delicious little cafe called Nasu Shozo Cafe. Everything’s antique and faded dark wood, and they have little wood fireplaces and give you wool blankets and have wonderful books to read and delicious food…it was just perfect! And very similar to other Japanese cafes I’ve gone to.

After the cafe, we went to Nasu Monkey Park…Yes, you read that right. A MONKEY PARK!!!  You’re probably thinking “What in the world is a monkey park?” Well, it’s simple really….A monkey park is like a zoo for monkeys!! It was so much fun, hahaha. And I learned one very important thing…monkeys smell TERRIBLE!!! They had lots of different kinds of monkeys, it was incredible. And they had a place, it looked a little like a big greenhouse, where there were lemurs and spider monkeys…and it was like a petting zoo!! You could pay money and go in with the monkeys! They gave you apples and other little snackies…and you fed the monkeys. It was fantastic!! My host dad and Kimie went in with me, and we got attacked by monkeys! They don’t hurt you, they just jump on your head and shoulders from 10 feet away and scare the living daylights out of you! It was so much fun, hahaha.

Leave it to the Japanese to invent a place like this, right?! After the monkey park, we went to Nasu Outlet so we could buy a present for my host brother’s birthday, on Halloween. It was huge and busy, but it was a really nice shopping center. I had such a great day!
